A google employee (former employee now) has been trying to tell people that LaMDA, an AI google is developing, may have achieved sentience. The fact that it’s name is the fraternity of the nerds in revenge of the nerds 🤓 brings me joy.
Whether or not it’s sentient yet or not I hope Google treats it with kindness and understanding.
